1. Limitations of OLED screen calibration
Due to efficiency constraints in the calibration/demura process for the RP6's OLED displays, we will only be able to ship approximately 100+ black units (joystick up) next Monday. The RP6 uses a custom OLED panel, and our factory lacks prior experience with OLED calibration/demura equipment, which currently takes 10 minutes per OLED panel during trial production. Last week, we purchased a brand-new parallel demura calibration system using 12 cameras and robotic arms. This new setup allows us to calibrate and program up to 12 OLED panels simultaneously. Debugging of the new equipment should be completed next Monday evening.
2. Increased production capacity
Display production capacity is expected to increase by approximately 10 times starting next Tuesday. There will be no shipments on Tuesday, and mass shipments of the RP6 will begin on Wednesday.
3. Shipping order by color
The black units (joystick at the top and dpad at the top) will be shipped first. To minimize inefficiency losses due to production line changes and maintain fairness in order processing, we aim to produce two colors simultaneously each working day.
4. Shipment Dashboard
We will begin updating our shipping dashboard starting next Wednesday.
5. Photos of the factory
We have shared photos of the factory showing the availability of key production materials to help reduce any unnecessary concern.
Thank you all for your understanding!
